Aglow
A 5-Week Journey Through Desire to Help You Come Alive
October 21 - November 18, 2025
4-5pm EST (1-2pm PST)
Are you feeling constantly stressed, uninspired, overwhelmed, and wondering, “What is the point of all of this?” "Where has my joy gone?"
This 5-week course is an invitation to reignite the spark that makes you feel truly alive. Desire isn’t just about sex—it’s about the inner pull toward connection, creativity, freedom, and vitality. Desire is your compass. It’s the exact signal you need to move your life from greyscale to full color.
Through meditation and other exercises that dig beneath the surface of daily living, we will explore desire and its capacity to stir us into greater connection with joy and creativity. We will examine key source texts—from early Buddhists and Jewish mystics to Audre Lorde, Freud, Jung, Tara Brach, and more. We’ll explore desire not as a problem to fix, but as the life force that can set you aglow.
Each weekly live Zoom class will start with a meditation, explore the key concepts and practices, and have space for discussion and direct infusion of what we are learning to your daily life.
Course materials include guided meditations, journaling prompts and exercises corresponding to each week's material, as well as a Whatsapp group to share inspirations, questions, and reflections on the week of practice.
Discover the transformative power of desire with Aglow!

Who This Is For
This course is for anyone who feels like life has become stressful, overwhelming, or dull—and longs to feel vibrant, joyful, and connected again. Meditation - and Buddhist wisdom - is a cornerstone of this experience - both in the live sessions, and on your own - but no prior experience is necessary.
If you’ve caught yourself thinking “Where is my spark? How can I get it back?”—this journey is for you.
Whether you’re longing for more depth in your relationships, more passion in your work, or simply more presence and delight in daily life, Aglow will help you reawaken the vital force of desire within you.
About your teacher
Hi! My name is Yael Shy, I’m an award-winning author and CEO of the industry-leading Mindfulness Consulting. I have been featured on Good Morning America, CBS News and in Time Magazine and the Harvard Business Review. In addition to my workshops and individual clients, I consult for major corporations and universities, including Proctor and Gamble, Columbia University, and NYU. Deeply passionate about the transformative power of mindfulness, I have over 20 years of practice experience in Zen, Jewish, and secular meditation contexts.
Why I do this:
Meditation changed my life when I was 19 years old and my anxiety had grown so out of control I was having 2-3 full-fledged panic attacks per week. Social anxiety kept me from making friends, dating or going to gatherings without the excessive use of alcohol and drugs, and yet I was terribly lonely. I never thought I could find a way out of my pain. Through mindfulness, meditation and therapy, I did. Although I still get anxious and lonely, these emotions no longer control my life or stop me from connecting with others or taking risks. It is now my life’s purpose to support others to uncover their inherent worth and capacity for deep joy through mindfulness.
